About Judy Whitton

I am a self taught photographer and a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana. My love of photography started out in the late 60's when I was given a box camera to use. Back then the rolls of film I was given to use were few and far between. So, that taught me to be very selective about what I took photos of. Somewhere along the line I was given a 110mm instamatic camera and didn't buy my first and only 35mm camera, a Nikon EM, in the early 80's.

In 2002 at a family reunion, my uncle was showing me his digital camera. I was totally fascinated at the idea of being able to take as many photos as I wanted without having to buy film or have it developed. Shortly afterwards, I bought my first digital camera, the Sony Mavica CD400. I used that for a couple years until the flash quit working. Still under warranty, I traded up to the Sony Cybershot DSC F828. By this time I had gotten my daughter hooked on photography and she started out with the Canon Rebel. By that time I knew it was time to take that big step and went with the Canon Rebel XT. And from there I went to the XTi and now use the Canon 7D. All the digital cameras I have used are represented in my gallery here.

My other passion is nature, which you have probably noticed by now. My favorite subjects are butterflies and flowers, especially clematis, water lilies and orchids. I also go on many zoo trips a year, especially to see my two favorite lions Onyo and Tango.

If you are reading this right now, nothing would make me happier than if you should decide to buy one of my pieces to display on your wall.Coming soon...
